Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT professional to join our team as a System Administrator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, technical support, and database development with a focus on FoxPro.
Responsibilities:
· System Administration: Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations.
· Database Management: Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot databases using FoxPro.
· Technical Support: Provide hands-on support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
· Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain software applications using FoxPro and other relevant technologies.
· Network Security: Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to safeguard company data and systems.
· Project Management: Lead or participate in IT projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to scope and budget.
· Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, processes, and applications.
· Training: Train staff on IT systems, tools, and best practices to ensure efficient and secure usage.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support and system administration roles.
· FoxPro Expertise: Hands-on experience in FoxPro for both database and software development is essential.
· Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings.
· Desirable: Experience with SAP or ERP systems is a plus.
Physical Demands:
· This is primarily a desk-based role with regular use of a computer.
· Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
· Occasional standing, walking, bending, or lifting of light office equipment (up to 25 lbs).
· Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and using office tools.
· Visual acuity required for viewing computer screens and reading documentation.
· May occasionally be required to access equipment in server rooms or network closets.
