PAY RANGE: $25-$35 per hour
Position Summary:
The Certified HVAC & Electrical Maintenance Technician ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all climate-control, electrical, and mechanical systems that support insect rearing, facility operations, and environmental controls. This role combines hands-on HVAC expertise with electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and facility support in a controlled-environment agricultural production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on HVAC units, ventilation systems, air handlers, and climate-control equipment.
- Maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels required for insect rearing rooms and controlled environments.
- Inspect, clean, and replace filters, belts, motors, and other HVAC components.
- Monitor and adjust automated environmental control systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems including sensors, relays, motors, pumps, and control circuits.
- Work with 120/240V single-phase and three-phase circuits under safety guidelines.

Description
This cross-functional position supports both inter-facility transport and beneficial insect production. The role is responsible for safely transporting products, equipment, and supplies between company facilities while also assisting with the rearing, harvesting, quality control, and packaging of beneficial insects and mites. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Transport & Logistics
- Operate company vehicles including vans, box trucks, or light-duty trucks to move goods between facilities and designated locations.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow routing instructions and communicate delays or issues promptly.
- Load and unload products carefully to maintain product integrity and prevent damage.
- Comply with DOT regulations and company safety procedures, including no cell phone use while driving.
