This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, traceability, and compliance with Area 77 SOPs, QC requirements, and safety standards. The Packaging Technician works closely with Packaging Leads, QC, and Operations to support efficient and accurate production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Packaging & Production Support
- Package finished products in accordance with Area 77 SOPs and QC work instructions.
- Handle raw materials carefully to prevent contamination, damage, or product mix-ups.
- Assist with preparing approved mixes by following QC recipes and instructions.
- Stage completed products accurately for downstream processes or shipment.
Label Reading & Verification
- Read and verify labels for correct species, batch codes, date codes, and expiration dates.
- Confirm labels match the raw material, mix, or product being packaged.
- Immediately report labeling discrepancies or concerns to the Packaging Lead, Supervisor, or QC.
Supplies & Documentation
- Print, review, and follow the daily Supplies Needed Report.
- Pull required materials and supplies based on production needs.
- Ensure all materials are properly date-coded prior to use.
- Accurately and legibly complete all required documentation and production records.
Mixing & QC Compliance

Position Summary:
The Certified HVAC & Electrical Maintenance Technician ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all climate-control, electrical, and mechanical systems that support insect rearing, facility operations, and environmental controls. This role combines hands-on HVAC expertise with electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and facility support in a controlled-environment agricultural production setting.
